Mission Statement
Highland Park University Bible Fellowship (“HP UBF”) has embarked on its journey to serve the campus mission in obedience to the Great Commission. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the HP UBF ministry is in the best interest of cultivating and nourishing the hearts of the emerging future generations with the Gospel of Jesus to envision the hope of the Kingdom of God acquired by Bible study and prayer throughout the college years.
Objectives of HP UBF Church
Raise spiritual leaders from the emerging future generation
Cultivate and promote learning the knowledge of God during Bible Study
Not just passing Bible knowledge but leading students to open their hearts, minds, and will to the word of God through open discussion with judgment suspended.
2. Connect God’s kingdom to the earth
Let the students know how blessed they are from the Bible’s perspectives
Promote fellowships to taste a union of fellow believers and the presence of the Holy Spirit
3. Bridge the gap of a disconnect - self-awareness and reality
Encourage Bible students to recognize their true identity based on God’s words.
Foster students to make an ongoing effort to face reality independently for personal spiritual growth
4. Shift from selfish self to sacrificial self
Ignite passion to be a harvest worker
Let the students taste more of the joy of giving than that of receiving
5. Find and Expand the Self through dying on the cross and being born again in spirit
Promote Bible students to accept God’s love and dive into the womb of God’s deep inner space of compassion
Nurture students to gain the power of renunciation and rebirth
